How Hedley Hopkins did a dare...

How Hedley Hopkins Did a Dare...
Paul Jennings
*****
This book is about a boy that moved to a new town, and wants friends more than anything. But while he was at it he found a group of boys that were bullies. These boys are tuff, and don't get scared of everything. While Hopkins was in school he went to the toilet and spotted them smoking with their pants down, so when a teacher came into the toilet they could just drop the cigarette into the toilet in one single move. While Hopkins was in the toilet with the boys, they decided they would let him join, but only on one condition. If he would go into a grave, and get the skull of Major Manners. This is where it all started. Hopkins would be in so much trouble if he would attend the dare. But remember Hopkins wants friends more than anything. Hopkins wishes that he was a younger sister like his sibling Kate. So he could just play with the older sibling. But when Hopkins plays with his LITTLE sister the boys will get the complete opposite idea. So will Hopkins do the dare, and make new friends or will he just bail out, and be the sissy of the school???
I recommend this book to people under the age of 14, because there are a couple of things that you have to know to complete reading this book.

This book, is kinda creepy, but not the kind that will not get you to sleep. With Pual Jennings writing it, you'll never be able to stop, although you have to at one o"clock in the morning!!!

Nice write up on this, Nora. And to put the skull of Major Manners in a plastic bag and hide it? Too gross, too bad. You ever taken a dare like this? :-)
